"My stay of one night at this hotel was pleasant. Its facilities are a mixed of ancient and renewed, if we take the breakfast room (more ancient-like) and the bedroom (more recent-like) into account. It had a cosy living room right to the left of the entrance with a good LCD TV and an ancient fully functional piano where I played a few enjoyable tunes. For a convenient, cheap and not-to-much picky staying, it's the definite choice to make! Thanks for reading my review. "

"Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

"Inn was nice, but room was small. If staying here recommend you not bring anything larger than an overnight bag as cars cannot access the location. We had been traveling for 3 weeks and had larger bags. Our Uber driver dropped us off outside the walls and we had a 10-minute walk uphill over cobble stones dragging bags. But the woman who was on duty the next morning was very helpful and arranged for a taxi and the driver walked up to the inn and carried our bags down to his car. It was expensive...

"Convenient stopover. Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the beds were more like single camp beds, rather than the double requested and the pillows weren't good. Worse was that as a service station hotel the main obvious problem would have to be traffic noise, so why weren't the rooms soundproof? Every lorry going past.... "A very unique stay within a walled town takes you back in time. The room was very small but authentic to the times, with thin walls (hear all the hallway noise). Very helpful staff. Parking outside the walls of the castle is very close and inexpensive. Great selection of restaurants. "

"Unit is in a comfortable and convenient area. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, kitchen and bathroom fans did not work, and main front entrance door did not lock. Bathroom seat was broken or improperly installed. Super slow stove top, hard to cook anything on it. The grill/broiler was also slow. Only way to get air in was to open the doors - no aircon and no windows. Only a small ceiling fan over the dinning room table."
