"As we expected for a property of its age. Perfectly comfortable and the staff were brilliant. We had to come up with a new plan if one of us had to get up during the night. The bed is directly opposite the bathroom. As all switches are outside the bathroom, the light blinded the sleeping person instantly awake! :)"

"The hotel staff brilliant in reception and bar. I chose hotel for location and the Spa looked amazing online. I arrived late and was disappointed that the Spa closed at 7pm and reopens 9am so didn’t get to use it. The reception kindly opened gym for me but couldn’t use the fantastic Spa. The GYM is being renovated and has signs advertising this so that was fine it looked tired, however no wipes or towels to clean down equipment. I had to ask for iron as none in the room and again reception...

"Excellent, comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel and lovely town. Perfect location right next to Trim Castle, with amazing castle views from the hotel (including some rooms). Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend, and will return! "

"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. "Lovely hotel, quite grand with big old-fashioned lobby. Average breakfast and rather limited bar food menu (restaurant closed when we there) but the food we had was quite good. Rooms very comfortable, spacious, super clean, brand new bathrooms. Small issues: carpet could do with replacing though and no usb sockets. "
