"Honestly we had such an amazing time. The staff downstairs were absolutely incredible; special mention to Liam for arranging the football match screening 😊 My only wish for the next visit; is for the room heating to be fixed quicker, our room was really cold and we had to call and even come down in person several times to finally get someone upstairs. I also wished someone had responded to my message on the app. Nonetheless, my family and I had a great time and we will be definitely revisiting...

"The hosts and staff at this hotel were always helpful and welcoming. At the time of our stay they were putting in new radiators but ensured that we had an electric heater in our room to keep it warm. Room was comfortable and modern. The food in the restaurant was amazing and would highly recommend eating there. Good choice of food for breakfast and hot breakfast was cooked to order. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Excellent value for money. "

"What a wonderful stay. This is the second oldest inn in England. Five kings have stayed here. But what really matters is that the staff are so welcoming and the food is delicious."

"The staff were lovely, the room shower everything was lovely and clean. Unfortunately for me the mattress was a little bit thin, and that wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. Everything else I didn't have a problem with."

"Stayed here for the night nefore my wedding with family n friends .my sons door didnt lock and reception wasnt bothered advertises they do breakfasts on the door but dont rooms and building very dated ordered travel cot got a single bed for 7month old wont be stopping again"

"I use the hotel whenever I’m travelling north or south as a half way. Usually only arrive and go to sleep. Ive not eaten there yet so can’t comment on the food. Hotel is clean, WiFi decent and bed comfortable. I don’t really use much else. Fits the bill for me and my needs. "

"The hotel was very clean and staff friendly. We had welcome snacks and drink on the house. Experience was very good overall with the only exception the building is bit old and need a touch of refurbishment Had small flies coming from the vents of my room and was a bit unpleasant"
