"Lovely stay - as a first time visitor to Japan, it was great to have a night at some more traditional lodging. Iwaso was beautiful and the service excellent. The fixtures in the private bathroom in my room were somewhat dated but everything was very clean, and I really used the Onsen anyway - also, the historic/classic styling of the property was what I wanted. "Amazing hotel. I stayed in a traditional Japanese style room with tatami mats and futons to lay out for bedding. The room had a forest view overlooking some beautiful trees and I even spotted a baboon coming out of the forest one morning while relaxing. Traditional dinner and breakfast is included. Dinner was several courses of delicious Japanese delicacies. Sushi, hot pot, too much to list. Breakfast was no less. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful with everything I needed. "Excellent place to stay, with the exception of the road and train tracks behind the building resulting in a fair bit of noise. There were ear plugs provided which helped a little bit, but the noise was still quite loud. Despite this, we still really enjoyed our stay and loved the unit!"
