"Do NOT use Expedia for international bookings. Property offers a lot more flexibility and better service via its own site or other platforms (I had good experience with Ctrip for China). Expedia prevented us from checking out early although hotel manager agreed at no charge. Expedia made false promises on timeline and resolution, wasted our time and added stress during our travels. "The only issue I had was my room a/c wasn’t good. The night wasn’t too warm, so it didn’t affect my stay. Staff were helpful. I didn’t complain about the a/c because it would have been too much trouble to switch rooms. The room was very quiet even though my window faced the road. "

"Quaint little Hutong hotel right in the heart of the tourist-trap hutong so it was really convenient, tho not sure where the metro station is. Check in was quick and easy and really appreciate that I got the room before the 2pm checkin time. Was delighted with the afternoon tea snacks. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Cleanliness-wise - room was pretty clean except, the room floor was a little dusty. Room has USB and USB-C points by the bed. Will definitely stay here again if I visit Beijing"

"The staff at the hotel is wonderful. They tried their best to serve you. They even cooked the wonton at night after 10pm. The breakfast and afternoon tea are terrific. We definitely have a great time here."
