"Not a great experience. They never replied to my emails asking about facilities. Confirmation and T&C's only sent to me on day of arrival. It only took 5 hours for someone to give us a key to get in. Oh and don't forget to take your own cups and glasses to make up for what's missing. It's a great shame as if some effort was made it would be a great base for a cheap getaway. "

"I think the hotel had been closed for a few weeks and we got there at the exact day and time they were re opening so had to call to get someone to let us in but everything fine after that. There is an elevator. The room had everything , including a mini fridge."

"We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). The dryer did not work so back to hotel with damp washing. Immediately hotel stepped...

"Honestly, one of the worst places I have stayed in a while. Check-in was good and staff were helpful. However, from there it deteriorated quickly. The room was dated and very basic. No grill, no toaster, coffee machine was there but there was moldy coffee left in it. Walls had been repaired in a really poor way in places and the equipment was old and not clean. "The location is in a small village in the mountains and driving in and out is not easy. The property itself is a bit dated but is very charming. The staff and service were excellent. Note that the price does not include breakfast. We stayed on the third floor and internet was unavailable le in the room - we had to go down to the lobby for internet connection. Breakfast and the restaurant were great."

"Good location. Nice rooms but looking a bit run down. Bucket under sink to collect drips in one of our two rooms - this was not fixed during our two day stay as promised. However the place does have charm. Breakfast was added to our bill although we did not take it. I had to ask to have it removed."

"Good welcome. English spoken. Modern lift, large well laid out room. Comfortable beds, extra blanket, Fridge with two bottles of water. Kettle with tea and coffee. Wifi, Large walk in shower - plenty of hot water Good parking right out side the door or underground - small payment. In fact everything you could need and more. The restaurant, too was excellent - choice of French or Vietnamese cuisine, good wine list all at a very reasonable price all cooked on the premises. The pintade (guinea fowl) was amazing. As was the creme brulee. We will DEFINATELY be staying there again and would heartily recommend this hotel and its food."
