"Our lasting memory of Nanuya Island Resort will be the welcoming and friendly staff. Their warmth and hospitality was appreciated - including the songs and entertainment! We stayed in one of the tree-top bures, which was a bit of a hike (especially after dinner). It was clean but quite small. "When you book they will tell you that this is not a resort but it is really good. Did not understand why they wrote that to me. You have a huge house just for yourself with amazing garden or beach view. You have a fan mosquito net and some dimmers to make the light less strong in case you want to have it more chill and romantic. The family is very friendly. Clean and tidy. "This is a small resort owned and run by Fijian family. It's very authentic, quiet and has beautiful settings. However it's not a "western style type resort." This is kinda like glamping with meals cooked for you. All you do is relax and enjoy the scenery :-) The bures are spacious and built in traditional Fijian style, including bathroom. "We loved absolutely everything about Oarsman's Bay Lodge-the beach, accommodation, surroundings, activities, food and especially the staff. We went to 2 other islands afterwards, and realised how spoilt we'd been at OBL. It was everything we'd dreamed of, and a lot more. Thank you to ALL the staff, who were like family.
