What let it down was the clearly too small breakfast area and the fact that other guests were allowed to have their (non-Service) dogs in that area, allowing said dog to just wander up to others tables. Unhygienic and just rude with the staff doing nothing."

"Wiveliscombe is a small town a few miles west of Taunton with a distinctly rural feel. The hotel is in the centre and has its own car park. The building is old and certainly characterful. Our room was at the back, reached by a bit of a maze of stairs and passages (no lift but not a problem for us) and was clean, warm and well maintained. The bed seemed slightly hard.
