"Loved our stay at the hotel. Service was excellent. Clean, modern room. It is within walking distance to restaurants and the Old Town. Convenient parking. We had a GPS in the car to help find the hotel. Not easy to find street names. Check in and out is not at the hotel so make sure you are able to call Avora management at their number. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. 😊"

"Mixed.At all times remind yourself that this is a 3* hotel! When you squint your eyes, the setting fools you into thinking you're at a far fancier establishment. This messes with your expectations. Positive first- The island is beautiful. The views are spectacular. Breakfast is good. Boat to Rovinj is regular and on time. Negative - 1. Accessibility is poor. Lift doesn't stop at the lobby. 2. Rooms are large and clean - but old. Peeling paint, broken fittings and 1980's furnishings all show...

"The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. "The hotel is located in a handy position for getting about to different restaurants. The facilities at the hotel are excellent, the wellness area with the sauna with the most incredible view - not to be missed. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choice and catering to all sorts of dietary requirements. My only negatives…our room was rather small and felt in need of renovation. "We had a wonderful time in Kottli. The houses are charming and well maintained. I did read a review before we went there complaining about the cleanliness of the property, but whoever wrote that probably doesn't live in the countryside. We found it perfectly clean for a rural property and Sanja who looks after the property was very nice and friendly. Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the tourist hot spots! "
