"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. Staff were very friendly and we got by with speaking English and a little Spanish! The accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable. "This was the first stop on our trip thru Spain, embarking from Bilbao. Four sixty year olds looking for peace and quiet. We had driven through awesome mountain scenery and arrived at the hotel to be greeted by George (can't spell the Spanish version) who gave us a history of the area. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, with a bed that we didn't want to get out of! There were 6 rooms in an outside block, each with a small patio area and chairs and a mountain view. "We ended up with an 80 Euro parking fine because the staff didn't have enough sense to tell us how the parking lot in back of the hotel worked (what the rules were). For the sake of having parked 12 minutes "early" before 6 PM on Friday night, we ended up with an 80 Euro fine even though we moved our car by 9 AM and leave on Saturday, as we were instructed to do. Hotels should either provide guest parking, or else clearly instruct guests as to the necessary procedures."

"This out of the way Parador is perfect if you want a quiet stay with stunning views. It's an older property and some of the fixtures/fittings in the bathroom are tired but on the plus side - shower pressure was good and everything was very clean and we had a great nights sleep. The resturant served tasty local food - very nicely prepared and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly - we would visit again if in the area."

"Nice place in a nice location, but the most expensive night of my trip so far. Nothing special, for the price, but the bathtub was nice and the first I’ve had in Spain. Small basic room."

"We booked to stay in Hotel Santa Cruz for one night and had a nice stay. It was as described with welcoming staff. The location is good, close to free parking and easy to walk to restaurants and bars in town. We booked an economy room, which was indeed basic, but it was a very reasonable price so I am fine with that. The shower was hot and had very good water pressure. "

"We experienced a warm welcome, the room was as you would expect in a building of this period. The bed was not very comfortable but the hot bath made up for it.There was a nice view of the mountains from the window. We ate in the restaurant and although the starter (goats cheese and caramelized onion) was delicious the Main course (Steak with roast potatoes and roast vegetables) was so salty it was inedible. Also theroast potatoes were substituted with chips. On the whole a very disappointing...

"Very comfortable stay - the room was lovely and fresh. Quiet, great shower, with air-conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's walking distance to the town, but I would recommend a car. "

"My husband and I stayed here about a month ago. We liked it so much that we decided to stay again. The hotel is very charming: the room is tastefully decorated, the bed is super comfortable, the staff members are all attentive and pleasant, the breakfast is fantastic. The only negative was that it was difficult for us to find a good restaurant for dinner nearby. "

"Les lieux sont très chouettes, la demeure est très jolie avec beaucoup de charme. Un bémol car l hôtel a annulé notre deuxième nuit sur place malgré notre réservation et bien que des chambres restent disponibles sur le site. Dans les détails a améliorer, le lieu est très calme mais on entend un peu les chambres d'a côté, le petit déjeuner est un peu cher mais très bon et il y avait une petite odeur dans la salle de bain. On a quand même pris la carte pour le recommander! Super endroit!"

"Excellent hotel and although I would've expected a more "standardised" room, i.e boring furniture, I was very pleasantly surprised. The furniture was cute, the bed and room comfy, the bathroom nice and the room had a little fridge to keep things cool. Staff were nice and check in absolutely uncomplicated. "
