"We love staying at the Lion, the staff are so lovely, the rooms are fab, breakfast is a brilliant continental with the option to upgrade to a hot breakfast, parking is onsite which is so convenient. We can’t wait to stay again."

"It was over Christmas time we stayed 23rd to 27th some noises and bumps late at night. The Staff were very helpful at all times. The kitchen had its problems but the staff held its side up well done. "

"When checking in, the reception person told me I hadn’t paid for the rooms without having properly checked after I told him I booked through Expedia. He was trying to charge me for the rooms and I had to check myself and then tell him I have a receipt from Expedia. Not great service. Overall, a decent hotel and well located though."

"Honestly we had such an amazing time. The staff downstairs were absolutely incredible; special mention to Liam for arranging the football match screening 😊 My only wish for the next visit; is for the room heating to be fixed quicker, our room was really cold and we had to call and even come down in person several times to finally get someone upstairs. I also wished someone had responded to my message on the app. Nonetheless, my family and I had a great time and we will be definitely revisiting...

"The hosts and staff at this hotel were always helpful and welcoming. At the time of our stay they were putting in new radiators but ensured that we had an electric heater in our room to keep it warm. Room was comfortable and modern. The food in the restaurant was amazing and would highly recommend eating there. Good choice of food for breakfast and hot breakfast was cooked to order. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Excellent value for money. "

"I use the hotel whenever I’m travelling north or south as a half way. Usually only arrive and go to sleep. Ive not eaten there yet so can’t comment on the food. Hotel is clean, WiFi decent and bed comfortable. I don’t really use much else. Fits the bill for me and my needs. "
