"I had a very enjoyable stay at the Zambala - it was in a very good location right opposite the steam locomotive shed and 50 m from the station. It was also an easy walk up to the market and main square, and a reasonably easy easy walk to the zoo and the mountain climbing museum and the natural history museum. we enjoyed the back terrace, especially during the Diwali celebrations, where we had a glass of wine and some cheese twists while watching the fireworks. "The staff are lovely and helpful and hotel is quite nice. Its location is also very central. The hotel room was quite cold, however, due to gaps between the windows and the window frame. The hotel offers heaters but these are reasonably pricey. I was able to manage in November but I suspect it would be miserable in December and January. Also the hot water supply was inadequate. It took 20-25 mins to heat up and I found that I had to turn up the heat every minute to keep it reasonably warm."

"The room which we booked for 3 people doesn’t have enough space. We had to upgrade with additional cost, post upgrade as an additional bed only mattress was given, there are other hotels which provide a cot with no additional cost at all. The cafeteria did not have enough food options, the bathroom once closed developed a pungent smell after sometime, we had to call room service for bathroom freshener time and again. Overall experience is average, i have lived in better hotels at same or lower...
