"Great spot to stay pre cruise. Easy £20 cab ride to hotel. Spotlessly clean. Exceptional staff who are the friendliest I have ever encountered in a hotel. Rooms are big and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. All in all a great stay !"

"Staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room. Plenty of parking. Down sides, restaurant was closed for a function, we did not know until arriving at check in desk. This did not impact us this time but may impact others. Hotel is out of Salisbury town centre, but there are bus stops very close to the hotel . Buses are frequent and very reasonable. This makes the hotel accessible to town. Would I use the hotel again? - Yes "

"Comfortable spacious room and bed. Good location, lots of parking. Very friendly restaurant staff, reasonable food. My only complaint is that the room had an unpleasant smell and the decor was quite tired, but we were in a dog friendly one so maybe that was why. "

"There are no lifts but the staff helped with heavy cases if asked. There were no glasses for water in the room. The unique building - based on a jungle theme - was novel but needed refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful. "

"Overnight stop and picked hotel at random. On arrival found old school BW which was, probably, a family run hotel back in the day. Lots of character, e.g. the breakfast room that was a vaulted ballroom/function room overlooking the garden, with original features and spotlessly clean and tidy. This is not a cut and paste could be anywhere chain hotel and would happily use again, also was remarkably good value for bed and breakfast. "

"Good clean room. Comfortable bed Powerful shower -excellent Food - ok not really much taste. Prawn cocktail wasnt brilliant , lettuce wasnt washed, not many prawns. Steak cooked to well (which i asked for) but not much taste to the meat. Would stay again maybe not dine. "

"This is a lovely historic property with a top-notch chef/kitchen. Food was probably the best feature. Beautiful interior spaces. Comfortable room except for the noise outside—our room was right next to the road, snd because of how old the building is there’s no sound mitigation. So it felt like the passing vehicles and people on the street were right in our room! I would stay here again if I could get a room in another location not right next to the street."
