"We had an issue with our room that the a/c would only blow out ice cold air. We reported this via the hotels WhatsApp. The issue was investigated and we had been moved to a new room within 15 minutes. Very good service I’d say!"

"Family trip to the city, we were looking for a decent central based hotel and we struck gold here. 3 mins to Piccadilly train station. 2 mins to the Tram . Arndale was 10mins. Shops, restaurants and bars right outside the door. Perfect location. The hotel itself is very nice. Breakfast was great, staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless. I couldn't fault anything. 10/10. "

"Pros - Less than 5 minute walk from Piccadilly train station, along a well lit busy road. I felt comfortable walking there alone at 23.30 on a Tuesday night Bed was comfy. The room had everything I needed. Con - It feels like an old hotel that’s been jazzed up with a few funky items of furniture or pictures. I didn’t appreciate the chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks in the room right next to the bed. Felt like a selling technique, a bit like when a supermarket used to have chocolate next to all...

"The state at the Midland was enjoyable and majority of staff were exceptional, and Service was very good. We were only let down by the fact that we had to constantly remind people to refresh the towels and clean the room despite leaving out the appropriate sign."

"Me and my husband had a really lovely Stay for our 5th wedding anniversary here to Manchester and to see Peter Kay. We were greeted by Maggie who provided excellent customer service explaining all the facilities and even offered a room upgrade to us for our special occasion. The room was clean & the bed was comfy and the additional facilities in our room was great. The breakfast provided a great range from hot and cold and seemed to be coming out fresh regularly and albeit it’s a smaller seated...

"Highly recommend the Express meal 3 course and drink for £19.50 which we had before going to the ballet. Otherwise prices quite steep. I can honestly say the full breakfast was possibly the best I have had in my 75 years. My wife's eggs benedict was also a treat. The coffee and juice were great. But looking at the continental breakfast on offer it didn't look appetising at all ....the melon and other 'fresh' fruits looked very dry indeed and some of the other offerings looked days old.
