"We only stayed one night so this is based on that short stay. Location is prime for this hotel. It is only a block or so from the beach with restaurants and a long promenade. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the pool, canal and marina. Parking is readily available right outside the hotel door. The staff at the front desk spoke English so communication was easy. "

"I very much enjoyed my stay. The location in the middle of the old city was perfect. The breakfasts were very good and varied but served in a slightly quirky fashion. I, personally, prefer a buffet when one can select what one wants when one wants. My room layout was also a bit strange but, maybe, that's down to the way several very old buildings have been combined and refurbished. "If you're a young family with small kids, this is the place for you. They will love the pool area. If you're a more mature traveler that expects comfort and service, you will be frustrated. Our room, although large, was really bare -- white walls, no art, and hard surfaces. We went to the pool for drinks and lunch and the service was downright awful due to seemingly inexperienced staff. The breakfast buffet was good. "
