"We chose this hotel for it location because it is a short walk to the main marina where all the great barrier boats leave from! (We booked two tours of the reef). It was also convenient for going to shops, restaurants and grocery store. Very walkable! The lobby gave off a different atmosphere than the hallways of upper floors. Based on the website, we were expecting the rooms to look a little different, the rooms seemed partially renovated. But the staff really made up for any issues we had....

"We booked The Cairns Harbourside as a quick getaway from the Tablelands. We received a fantastic rate. The hotel has older rooms that will need a reno soonish, but the room itself was clean, beds very comfortable, fabulous pillows. The water pressure in the bathroom was great! after The lifts are good. We enjoyed a few drinks at happy hour in a comfortable outdoor setting. Food menu is small, but the food was nice. Free parking... always a plus. Last but definitely not least.... The staff at...
