"I travel a lot for work and don’t normally like chain hotels but this one is an exception to the rule. Decorated beautifully and in keeping with the building. Very cosy, clean and comfortable rooms with lovely natural toiletries (which are also available to purchase). The DAB radio was a really nice touch as I don’t really watch TV. "It may not be a 5 star hotel but I would give Tennyson 5 stars for the way guests needs are catered for. Entry was simple and effective thru key safe. the room was clean comfortable and warm - I returned from a meal at the local Wetherspoons (brilliantly converted cinema covered in lights!) to find the heating had come on and the room was warm as toast. "Just an over night stay. The ladies were excellent on the check in reception, friendly, organised, offered information on the city, and the bar and restaurant facilities. Shame the pool is not functional. But was explained that it has been since pre Covid."

"Great property, staff amazing and cant do enough for you. The room was good spacious, but no shower. On the other hand the bath was huge so didnt really have an issue about the shower! The must have been a leak at some point as you could still see the stains on the ceilings. But had an amazing stay and would come back."
