"Coimbra is a very busy city with a lot of traffic that clearly creates ongoing parking challenges and general congestion. The property itself is hard to access but once you’re in, is quite good. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was excellent with a particularly good bathroom. The hotel has many group bookings and insufficient elevators so expect a wait at reception or getting to/ from your room. "This is an excellently located property, So perfect for a visit to the Coimbra University which is just up the very steep street. We loved this historical hotel. All check in is done virtually so please, read the instructions they send you before arrival all the information is there and it is simple and accurate. "The 3rd floor is only 1 room and has the only balcony with a private hot tub. Very nice room and the staff was great. "
