"The staff are very pleasant and willing to help. The dining facilities are very nice and the food is of a high standard. The room I stayed in was basic , very clean and very well priced. It’s an old building with hot water radiators unfortunately every time the heating started in my room there was the constant sound of water running into the radiator. This didn’t help at 6am and the only option given was to switch it off."

"Lovely hotel. Parking easy. Really quiet. Easy access to the town. Stayed for 3 nights. One day my room wasn’t cleaned despite the sign I left on the door. TV a bit small. Internet access good. Overall I can recommend the hotel and I would stay again. "

"A very enjoyable stay, enhanced by spacious accommodation, excellent food and local cask beers and very pleasant staff. A slight downside was the lack of a bell on the unmanned reception when we arrived to check in or have breakfast and the rather confusing breakfast table with a sign encouraging us to 'help ourselves' to juices and cereals whilst waiting for a cooked breakfast, but then being charged for them. No-one in attendance most of the time during breakfast - had to ask for spoons....

"The lovely Magdalena (Mags) on reception was very welcoming offering a glass of champagne whilst checking in. She upgraded our room, helped with our bags and showed us round the room. The room was beautiful with tea/coffee facilities and fresh milk in the fridge. Toiletries were very nice. The bed was huge and super comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel."
