"This hotel has been renamed The New Hotel Palace. It was grand, beautiful pool area, ornate lobby and sitting areas albeit somewhat dated. The staff was lovely. It was very quiet, guessing that it was off season. The breakfast was not enticing, a bit disappointing. The same foods were out for 2 mornings so there was nothing that was fresh except maybe the loaf of bread to toast. "

"I am not sure why this hotel has been awarded 5 stars. At best, it is 4 stars. Our room intermittently smelled of sewer gas, and a public culvert runs directly under the hotel entrance that smells of sewer gas almost constantly."
