"Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. "Apartment style. Dirty and stained sheets. No sleeping pillows. Cobwebs and spiders in the bathroom and a colony of ants in the living room. Breakfast was a fixed menu of stale pastries and frozen/not fresh fruit, no buffet. Overall more of a 2-3 star experience than 5 star. "

"Overall the property is nice with an excellent breakfast but cleanliness and staff were disappointing and unfriendly. Check-in took a very long time, we had to sit for 20 min. before we got our key, hairs in the bathroom and one really big tuft of hair on the shower wall.
