"The Fujiya is an impressive and beautiful historic hotel. We stayed with our 5 month old baby in the Forest wing. The room itself was spacious and the decor in keeping with the Classical design of the hotel. I particularly enjoyed the onsen and the western breakfast (best breakfast of our trip). Would thoroughly recommend a stay here due to its history and grandeur!"

"Loved the amazing staff. Rooms with hot tubs and room service were great. Restaurant on site was nice, but more than we were prepared to spend at a restaurant in Japan. We found a couple of nice places in the nearby town where we enjoyed more traditional Japanese-style meals/ambiance. Overall we were very happy with our stay here. But again, hands down the staff was superb. "

"Cous Cous is a gem and I feel lucky I found it. It is located in the woods uphill from a non-touristy workaday fishing town. "This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!"
