9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (41)
"Quite remote. Staff gave us free left over curry which was very nice. Beverage options are vast. About a 30 minute drive from pen y fan. Only had WiFi in the main rooms though. No signal or WiFi in the room we were in. We only stayed for one night so it didn’t matter for us. cheap and cheerful. "

YHA Wye Valley - Hostel

2.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (25)
"Wonderful hostel set in a great oit of the way location. Only major issue is the poor condition of the access road to the propery which is not mentioned anywhere. Take it slow and steady and you'll still ground out the car in a normal car on the pot holes and ruts. I would not even attempt it in a car with lower ground clearance like a MX5 ect as you could cause major damage to your vehicle. This is a real shame as it wouldn't take alot of effort to atleast repair the worst of the pot holes...

"The Danywenallt Hostel is in a lovely position. The route to the hostel is well signed making it easy to locate but the access road may cause some cars to "bottom out." The staff were friendly and very helpful. "

"House & location description bang on. It is very isolated but Tesco delivered to us so wasn't an issue. We had a big family Christmas of 26/28 & the house worked well. There is good quality bedding & all the cutlery, plates, glasses & cooking equipment needed. There are 2 x dishwashers, washing machines & tumble dryers. There is a large, main house cottage.Wifi worked pretty well considering the amount of people using it at once!Hot tub was paid for separately but we could owas ofcloudy."
