Important Things Done Right
The cottage is very well appointed, with a really comfortable bed, luxury bathroom, modern wood burner, comfy chairs; everything you need to feel at home. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was to our liking. And the location is ideal whether you want walking, fine dining and other great places to eat and drink or exploring this part of Wales. It's also surprisingly easy to get to yet quiet and secluded.

Idyllic location
Just returned from a four night stay in this lovely cottage. The location is stunning, with beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself is extremely well appointed and equipped- we had everything we needed for our stay. Julian is the perfect host. Attentive and there if you need him, but never intrusive. We would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend the property to others looking for a relaxing break, away from it all in a beautiful location.

The view is stunning. Lovely clean place. Host friendly but left us to ourselves - just what we like - but was always available if we needed anything. Good place to base ourselves as we wanted to have a good look at the surrounding area - near and far.

Fantastic stay
My partner and I stayed here a few nights recently. Beautiful location on a farm, the cottage is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Julian was a fantastic host, offering advice on the area and allowing us to explore his farm grounds, with beautiful gardens, and vegetable patch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and many thanks to Julian. Highly recommend!

Nice cottage but....
The cottage was nice in size and had all the equipment required but the problem we found was the woodlice and spiders / cobwebs, we understand the cottage is in the country but there was quite a few dead woodlice and cobwebs that were really old and should have been removed during the pre cleaning before our arrival .

As good as it gets!
A perfect location for a couple interested in the Monmouthshires' ancient history. Quite private and exactly as described. Close to Abergavenny and the immediate area has many really good restaurants, pubs and cafes. Our host, Julian, very responsive and knowledgeable when advice needed both before and during our stay. The surrounding hills make for wonderful views and the morning birdsong not to be missed. Over the years we have syed in many Home Away/VRBO locations, we would rate Clock Cottage as exceptional.

Relaxed and comfortable
Julian was a fab host with good communication ahead of journey. We had one small problem which he was very happy to help us with. The accommodation had an amazing bath and fire to warm ourselves post a wet walk and the bed was comfortable which is a rare find so sleep was good. Lovely location, plenty of walks a short drive to Abergavenny.

A lovely second stay
Thanks for another delightful stay Julian. A quiet new year week we spent in the cottage marking our second stay. We were delighted to note the cottage was quite warm despite the weather. Being in south wales, there’s certainly no guarantee of sunshine, and actually for us we were both indoors quite a lot this time, but the clock cottage served as a nice home away from home and we’d certainly come here again. The living room is cosy, we certainly made use of the log fire and there’s a new smart TV for those who are so inclined. The kitchen is easily equipped enough for a weeks’ stay with a gas hob, oven, toaster, kettle and microwave. The shower room is lovely and warm, and the bedroom is light and airy, with a large comfortable bed. We’ll be seeing you again!

Perfect place for two in idyllic surroundings
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The property is private with amazing views and was a real home from home. The surrounding area is wonderful and the people we met were very friendly. There are plenty of great walks on the door step. Abergavenny, 10 minutes away by car, is a lovely Market Town with lots of places to eat has all the usual amenities. The owners are very friendly and welcoming but always respectful of privacy. The accommodation has everything you need and the log burner is amazing. Wifi was perfect. We hope to visit again soon.

Relaxing short break in a great location
We had a great stay and it is in a lovely location. Everything you need is there including logs for the fire, a roll top bath and really comfy bed!! Always good to have a great owner who met us to go through everything. Location is great for getting around - Abergavenny is a few minutes away, Hereford 45 mins and Cardiff about an hour. Abergavenny is a great town and we wished we had more times to try all the restaurants! Full of high street and local independent shops For a special occasion the Michelin star Walnut Tree Inn is five minutes from the accommodation. Highly recommend this accommodation

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location
Booked a last-minute getaway at this cute cottage and had a great time exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside. Great walks from your doorstep, plus castles and pretty towns to explore. Recommend the waterfalls trail in the Brecon Beacons, the climb from Crickhowell to Table Mountain and Sunday lunch at the lovely Hunter's Moon pub, which is a pleasant 40-minute walk from the cottage. Julian is a fabulous host - thank you for accommodating us at such short notice, and for the apples!
