"Abisko Turiststation STF is a great place to stay. It's located close to the train station and offers a variety of rooms from hotel, to hostel, to cabins. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfect for us. The one item I will note is that you need to ethier bring your own sheets/sleeping bag or you can rent linnens from the hotel (much like a hostel). I am glad I reached out to them before we arrived so they could inform me of this as it doesn't seem to be listed on hotels.com....

"Nice propertyt, near the town supermarket. This is a must during one stays, specially when most restaurants close after the summer season. It is also very close to the lake side if you come to Abisko to catch a glimpse of the Nortern lights where you can just walk over and have one of the best viewing area. The staffs are superb and very helpful. I highly recommend and I will stay here again should I visit Abisko again."

"The hiking trails were incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet of visiting in the shoulder season. The food was amazing for dinner and the breakfast buffet. I was very grateful for how careful the staff was in regard to my celiac disease, all the gluten free food was wonderful and it was nice feeling safe to eat there. "

Perfect place to stay in Abisko

"Abisko Turiststation STF is a great place to stay. It's located close to the train station and offers a variety of rooms from hotel, to hostel, to cabins. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfect for us. Otherwise, this hotel is great, most of the activities pick up at this location. The only other item to note is that this is not in Abisko proper. So if you need to get food from a grocery store, you should bring it with you or plan to walk to the store as there are limited transportation options once you arrive. "
