"Peaceful location with very easy access to the forest for dog walking. Comfortable beds with one downstairs bedroom, and three beds upstairs. One upstairs bedroom (with 1 double bed) is accessed through the other (with 2 double beds) with a door in between, which was perfectly OK for us, but something to be aware of if you are friends who are not as familiar with one another. "The gite was tastefully decorated and had all the equipment you need. We visited in a heat wave and the gite was nice and cool and a has a huge bathroom / walk in shower. Lovely terrace outside which gives privacy from neighbours. Matthieu lives opposite and was on hand for anything we needed but not at all intrusive. "What a find - a hotel in a working convent that used to be a palace! Breakfast nice, dinner excellent. Good choice of wines and beer. Room spotlessly clean, nice size. Grounds beautifully kept. Lovely long walking trails in the woods behind the convent. Plenty of safe parking. Very tranquil, absolutely top class, and at a very fair price. This is the second time I have stayed there, and will do so again. "
