"The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees....

It was clean and comfortable and everything I needed was provided. "I can honestly say I've never stayed in a cabin without a restroom or electricity and I heated it with the wood they provided which was very funlight were propane lights, lit with a match. However the drive up and down the Mt. Was at the least, not for the faint of heart...very rough on my car."

"Cottage was in excellent shape and super clean. There is plenty of parking and ease of access from the road. Perfect quite little area super close to the national park. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a great house for us to stay and visit Sequoia National Forest. It's close to small town and to the forest. House is a little out of date, but classic 50's feel right next to private river. Boys had fun exploring th the ground s"

"Step back in time with a little log cabin and wood burning stove/heater. Off the main drag with abundant privacy. Less than an hour to General Sherman tree. Used the grill for dinners and enjoyed looking at that historic Sears Roebuck catalogue from 1908! Charmed!!"

"This was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking in the national parks nearby. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Juli gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and we loved feeding the sweet horse and walking down to the river also!"

"Sandy the caretaker was lovely and did a good job, going out of her way to place fresh flowers and write directions to the park entrance. It has a very nice view and is quiet and remote. Furniture is quality and comfortable. But cats took over the porch, there was no heat, no cell reception, and the well could run out of water at anytime. Be ready for remote living."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was lovely and very communicative - she happily let us check in early, and check out late. Amazing proximity to Sequoia National Park. Only room for improvement would be if the property had its own private entrance. You have to drive past a couple of houses to get to the location, so we were a little confused getting to the house, but it all worked out!"

"The location is great if you are visiting the national park, about 6 miles from the entrance to Yosemite. The town is small, but there is a nice brewery and several good restaurants nearby. The house is clean and we loved the coffee assortment offered. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend!"

"We rented the family cabin for my family of 6 adults. We had the best time. The property isn’t new or refurbished. The cabin is rustic which gives it a woodsy charm. My family loved it. It’s close to restaurants and Sequoia National Park. My only complaint is there wasn’t enough trash bags and we couldn’t get ahold of anyone for more trash bags and towels other than that we enjoyed our stay."

"I shared a spacious room with my 2 adult kids at Lazy J"s and we were very comfortable. 2 queens AND 2 singles . Clean comfortable bedding, extra blankets (our trip was in Nov) , enough towels in the bathroom. Maid service replaced everything correctly each day. We drove up from LA and arrived at 8:45 pm but were still welcomed at reception.Very friendly atmosphere. Parked right in front of our room. As it was dark when we arrived we had no idea what lovely views would greet us the next day. Great place to drive into Sequoia National Park each day. Room had fridge & microwave & coffee machine so we were able to eat in room. Had a wonderful stay. Humming birds galore!!!"
