"Perfect spot for an active retired couple. We spent a week in apt during our month touring Mauritius, Rodrigues and La Reunion. For this stay we didn’t have a car and used the local buses to get to Grand Bay and Port Louis and walked along the coast in both directions. Our daily house keeper Rka was lovely. She brought papaya from her garden and told us which buses to catch to get around much cheaper than Taxi’s. There is a supermarket about a 20 mins walk away and a smaller shop within 300...

"Lovely villa - as described. Francesca, the maid was delightful and couldn’t be more helpful - she did our washing and cooked a couple of meals as well as keeping the villa nice and clean. Clivy, the property manager was on hand at all times and answered any questions immediately as well as organising transport requirements. "We stayed for 9 nights at Villa Belle Plage and really enjoyed our stay. All the information we received from Bert in advance was useful and relevant and helped us to plan our stay. Bert booked our hire car and it was ready and waiting as we stepped out of the airport doors. He also printed out our ferry tickets for a trip to La Digue (a definite must) and took a message from a restaurant we were trying to get in touch with. Such a lovely gentleman! "The place was large with nice views and super close to the airport. Not close to shopping so get your stuff before you get there. However the host offered to drive us for dinner, etc. and did provide a free transfer to the airport. Only two complaints. One is the air conditioning is only in the bedroom upstairs. It gets pretty hot downstairs. The other was that there was a used bar of soap in the shower and assorted left over toiletries in the bathroom. Also some leftover food in fridge. ...
