"Communication with Eva was very straightforward and pleasant. The accommodation is much nicer than it looks in the photos: The kitchen is extremely well equipped (filter coffee machine and capsule machine, milk heater, toaster, blender, etc.). "We were a bit worried our stay wouldn’t be able to match the hotel in Akrotiri. How wrong we were. When we saw our room, the only words to describe it was wow! In fact, this is one way I would describe the whole hotel. Another would be a quiet retreat where Bali, Thailand and Greece meet. The whole set up is for complete relaxation, the way the rooms and pool areas are set up. This is a boutique hotel and has enough luxury sun beds for everyone. The views from the pool and lounge areas are fantastic and every room has a sea view. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is an extension to the hotel partially built but there is no work taking place when guests are here. It did not impact on our stay one bit and we decided it wasn’t building work but a piece of modern art! Our room was spotless and with all mod cons with a very modern design. It is quite a space with a free standing bath. The shower is very powerful with a large bathroom space. The bed was so comfortable, there was no interruption to our sleep. Katrina and Artemis were fantastic and look after us amazingly. Nothing was too much trouble. They respected our space and were not overbearing one bit. They left you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place. We will definitely stay here again, without any doubt. The hotel is bordering on near perfection."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Gundari. The hotel is beautiful, the suites are luxurious but not fussy, and views are incredible. The service and the people really make this hotel a special place. Nothing is too much trouble, and everyone has a natural friendliness, not in a typical 5* polished service way. The food and drinks were delicious, the prices are more than in the nearby village Chora, but it was very good food. The local Greek wines were very good too. The position of the hotel gives you the best sunset spot, and the sunsets in September were stunning. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. If you are considering it, just book it! "

"From beginning to end the staff at the hotel couldn’t be more helpful, from the free transfer from the boat and back to the excellent breakfast and the flexible checkout times, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was of highest quality and located very conveniently next to the centre of the old town. If you’re coming to Folegandros you should seriously consider staying at this wonderful place. "
