It was a quiet area, self check in with a code which also means no early check in. No extra supplies, like towels or tp or wash clothes. We didn't see any directions addressing this. Get an even number room, up stairs, and you get a view of the city and ocean.

everything was pretty great except the building is kept too warm. You can set the room to 18 degees but it wont get below 20 or 21 without opening the balcony

Stayed overnight at Hotel Halond. The outside of the property is not very impressive, but the room was nice, with ample space. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet had limited items, but there was enough variety to choose from. It was a totally contactless experience. We were provided with the door codes to enter the building and our room. There was ample parking available.

Stayed here during Honeymoon, wife and myself LOVED the property! Keyless entry was such a nice touch, the downstairs lockers were/are a huge bonus for possible mountain bikers or ski/snowboarders and the rooms were sized right for our needs. Will stay here again when we Return to Akureyri!
