This landscaped park and beach area offers numerous ways for adults to unwind and for children to run and play.

Enjoy a relaxing time with the family at Al Mamzar Park, a 262-acre (106-hectare) expanse of cultivated gardens, beaches, wide open spaces, barbecue sites and picnic areas. Stretch out on the sand or dip your toes in the water at one of the park’s white-sand beaches. For a small entry fee there’s additional water-based fun in the park’s pool area, with three pools including a baby and children’s pool. The park also provides a number of children’s play areas with tunnel slides and climbing structures. Explore Al Mamzar on foot along the numerous paths. They take you past manicured gardens, desert plants, and palm and coconut trees. For an alternative way to view your surroundings, take the scenic train tour through the park or rent a bike from the park’s bike rental service. Climb up Al Mamzar’s 26-foot (8-meter) tower in the center of the park for a view of Sharjah, a neighboring emirate. There are many other opportunities to be active at Al Mamzar with a roller-skating area, soccer fields, skateboarding park and basketball courts. The wide expanses of grass provide plenty of space to play ball games and run around. There are numerous picnic areas dotted around the park, and a barbecue area with free use of grills, umbrellas and seating. Private chalets can be rented out for the day. Make reservations at the park’s on-site administration office or via Dubai municipality's website. Other eating options inside the park include a restaurant and snack kiosks.Al Mamzar Park is open every day, with Wednesdays for ladies and children only. There is a small fee for admission. The busiest day is Friday when offices and schools are closed, but the park is so large that finding a quiet spot at any time isn’t too difficult. Situated in the Al Mamzar residential area, Al Mamzar Park is approximately 20 minutes by car from downtown Dubai. The easiest way to get there is by taxi but be aware that there may be lines of people waiting to catch a taxi in the afternoon. If you have a car, there are paid parking options inside and outside the park.
