"This is an excellent property, bigger than a hotel, with more amenities, and so close to everything. We could walk where we wanted and always felt safe when we got home late. The staff was super friendly and communication was perfect. We will be coming back here when we stay I Aveiro! "

It is always such an honor to stay in one of these family homesteads. Lots of space, beautiful décor, amazing landscaping and views of the village. "The owners of the place are fantastic, warm people, they welcomed us as family, despite the language problems :-) The flat is very clean, very spacious and perfectly equipped. The decoration, furniture and equipment is a bit old-school and used already, but still it is a great value for the price. We loved the garden, with small pool. Car is a must there. The way to Porto is very straight forward and takes about 20 minutes, same for the nearest beach. We highly recommend this place!"

"We moved from another place on short notice, and they were very accommodating. We visited Porto, Aviero, braga Arouca, 516 bridge and Gaia. It is located in a little town and is on a private street where we could park right in front. It was walking distance to restaurants and various things. Not a lot of businesses in the town but we purposely wanted a quiet place. The apartment was on the first floor, which is one up from the ground, and what was the equivalent of a house. "The house has a good location, close to the beach and to the city, with all services and shops near. We went by bus from Lisbon to Mira and got an taxi to the house. The accommodations are very nice. We had just a problem with clogging of toilets, but the owner went there on next day with products for us to use on it. The thermoaccumulator size is not enough for 12 people to take shower straight, so we had to organize turns for it along the day. In general we liked a lot to stay on the house."

"The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the centre of town, close to shops, dining and local attractions. What makes this hotel stand above the rest is the service you receive from every member of the hotel staff. They definitely go above and beyond. In addition, the hotel is beautiful. It once was a private residence and was recently renovated. However they were able to keep the integrity, beauty and charm of the original residence with modern amenities. It felt like we were transported back in time. We have been in many hotels during our travels, this hotel by far will be one of the most memorable. I would definitely highly recommend staying at 1877."

"This was a great hotel. Nice clean room that was perfect for what we needed. Walking distance to the canal, gondola tours, shopping centre and restaurants. The staff was really helpful. We opted for private parking which was below the nearby mall - the hotel provides a swipe card and directions. A short walk back to the hotel, but felt very safe about leaving the rental car there. "

"Upon check-in we were greeted by Christiana-she was exceptional and hopefully a valued employee! Top notch. She reviewed everything and shared a few things going on in the area that might be worth a visit. Upon coming and going at the hotel she asked us how our day was and made sure we were always all set. We had dinner at the restaurant-our waitress was amazing. Friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. We didn’t finish our wine & cheese/olives/bread board so she offered to pack it up so we could take back to our room. Lovely experience and the food was spectacular. My husband got the beef and mushrooms and I got the salmon-both our dishes were wonderful. Lovely little village-worth a stay as it’s a short drive to Porto without all the hustle and bustle of a city. "
