Our stay at Casa Bonifato
A very enjoyable stay. We were welcomed upon arrival by Domenico who showed us around the villa and then presented us with a huge welcome meal prepared by wife Nina. They couldn't help us enough and they were only a phone call or text away. The villa was very well equipped and very clean. We cannot rate this villa enough. Information was sent to my phone on day of arrival informing us of local beaches and things to do etc. We would definitely recommend

Fantastic Sicilian home with 5 *amenities and wonderful hosts
Casa Bonifato is a dream come true! There is no way to be disappointed in any way if you choose to stay here - this place has everything you can possibly need, and more! The house is the most beautiful and well maintained place we have ever stayed at (and we have stayed in many villas and B&Bs in many countries over the years!). It is clean, gorgeous , stylish and spacious - with beautiful traditional furniture, fabulous bedrooms and bathrooms (containing everything you can possibly need), with wonderful luxurious bedding, candles and aromatic scent sticks everywhere. The front room is so classy and beautiful, from the amazing piano and lovely settees and table , to the fabulous carpets and the amazing hidden kitchen. The kitchen and cupboards have all possible cutlery and crockery you may need of the highest quality. And the most fantastic little nespresso machine that makes the best coffee ever! Great collection of books too! The garden is absolutely gorgeous with various areas to sit and enjoy the sun or the shade , and the top area has the most beautiful private pool, lounges and seating area which opens to breathtaking views of the sea, the nearby towns, the gulf, the mountain - it is something else to watch the sunsets from there! Domenico and Nina are the best hosts you can wish for - very friendly and helpful , but also letting you enjoy your private time at the property. Domenico communicated with us in advance of our arrival and sent us the detailed instructions to the house. He then met us when we arrived at Casa Bonifato and gave us a full tour of the house and gardens and all areas that we could use. Nina has prepared the most fantastic and welcoming feast of Sicilian food for us , which was a lovely surprise that we enjoyed enormously! All dishes were delicious and we wanted to finish everything at once but it wasn’t humanly possible, so we enjoyed some of this amazing food later too:) Domenico and Nina have also filled the cupboards with everything that we can need in our one week stay - from tea, coffee and pasta, to croissants, fruit, cheese and wine! Honestly, we have been to many high rated houses and B&Bs , and you are lucky if you get some bread and milk in advance - Casa Bonifato has everything and the hosts are so kind and welcoming! Domenico also sent us very useful tips on places and sites to visit in the area, restaurant etc - all very good indeed! We had a wonderful time and we will be back for sure! Thank you!

Wonderful apartment in Alcamo!
Domenico met us at the front door to our 'apartment'. He showed us the pool and furniture that was at our disposal. Unfortunately it was not hot enough to use it. He then took us to our apartment and when he opened the door, the dining table was full with a wonderful array of Sicilian foods, prepared by Nina, his wife. Way more than 2 people could ever eat in 5 days, but we tried. The apartment was very comfortable and felt like home. Great care was taken in preparing this property, even down to the 'hide away' kitchen! The apartment was well stocked with dishes and etc. Beds were very firm and the linens were luxurious. Bathroom very nice too. If you are going to be in this area, this is definitely a great location. Domenico and Nina show the true Sicilian spirit.

The property is in Alcamo, a little distance from the town and quite high up a hill overlooking it.
We stayed with friends for a week in this apartment and we could not fault the attentiveness of Domenico and Nina's cooking for breakfast was a wonderful reflection of Sicilian cuisine. It was a delightful stay.

Beautiful Property and Lovely Hosts
The accommodations were spotless and very comfortable and Domenico and Nina could not have been more gracious hosts. The breakfasts were indeed fabulous as other have noted and provided a culinary tour of Sicily. Domenico and Nina are obviously very proud of Sicily (and deservedly so) and they have thought of every detail. The rooms were well appointed and the common areas that we had to ourselves (both inside and outside) were very comfortable.

A wonderfully relaxing place to stay and be pampered.
We spent eleven days in Sicily and drove around the whole island finishing up in Alcamo for our last four nights. It proved to be a tranquil oasis with the loveliest of views towards Castellammare del Golfo. Our hosts were attentive and extremely helpful, pointing out places of interest and introducing us to the delights of Sicilian cuisine. A beautiful place showing Sicily at its very best.

Wonderful stay !
First Nina and Domenico treat you like friends. Their house is very nice and the terrace with the pool has a fantastic view on the mountains and the sea and the sunset with a glass of Prosecco offered by the owners was perfect ! The room and the apartment are beautiful and well decorated. Is is very quiet to sleep. In front of the apartment there is nice garden where you can seat with the perfume of the jasmine flowers ! But the hit was the food ! Nina is a great chef and cooked Sicilian speciallies for us. What a treat ! We had plenty of antipasti, pasta and fish and dolce....go on a diet before coming . The breakfast also was very complete and everything was delicious. So we recommend this house for a very special experience meeting Sicilians and eating marvellous food !

Really Wonderful Villa and Hosts
A great place to stay. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Domenico, Nina, and Alssesandro were wonderful hosts. You will not be disappointed with your stay at Castellammare del Golfo. The food, be prepared, it's absolutely outstanding and will help your waistline increase by several inches. The place is beautiful. They are very close to wonderful places to visit. We could have stayed a week. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sicily.

Incredible and unforgettable holiday - pure luxury and relaxation!
What can I say about Casa Bonifato - it is an absolute gem. The best B&B / Villa I have stayed in. It is luxury wrapped in the warm hospitality of Nina and Domenico. As hosts you could not ask for more, giving great advice, helping with every little request and welcoming you in to their family, but with great respect for your privacy. A B&B with private villa feeling - what more could you want?! ... AND then there is the breathtaking view from the poolside terrace and the lush interior that makes you feel right at (luxurious) home. Not to mention the breakfasts!! Nina is a remarkable cook (helped by Alessandro, her gorgeous and cheeky 3yr old sous chef) - every day providing a new and delicious taste of Sicily! She even did an Italian twist on an English breakfast - bacon and eggs will never be the same again!! Enough food to feed a family, you will be certainly set up for days of exploring, or sleeping it off on the terrace! I was a solo traveller, with a friend that joined for a long weekend. But it would also be perfect for romantic getaways, 2 friends or 2 couples. You definitely need a car, but once you get your bearings it is a great location to explore all of the wonders of western Sicily, with almost everything being less that 1 hour away. A delightful family, who now I consider friends. I will definitely be back!! Thank you for a special break !! ❤️

Best holidays
Our stay in vila Bonifato was delightful in all the ways!! Domenico and Nina are amazing hosts!! They were super nice, intelligent and helpful in every smallest request or question. Nina treated us to a deliciously divine breakfast every morning surprising us with variety of traditional local food made with lots of love. We had a benefit of slightly cooler weather in super hot days comparing to downhill because the vila is a bit higer up the hill. The calm and quiet neighborhood and amazing view let us enjoy our private garden with a possibility to cook a barbecue ourselfs if wanted. The villa is arranged in a classic cozy southern style combined with a few moderate modern twists. Unforgettable holiday! A lot of thanks! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ein sizilianischer Traum
wer typisch sizilianische Gastfreundschaft genießen möchte der sollte hierher kommen. Top Lage oberhalb von Alcamo mit Blick auf das Meer. Die Unterkunft ist stilvoll bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet. Wir wurden sehr liebevoll empfangen und waren völlig überrascht welche Köstlichkeiten Nina für uns vorbereitet hatte. Wir mussten kaum Lebensmittel nachkaufen. Domenico hat uns ausreichend Informationen für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung zukommen lassen. Wir empfehlen einen Ausflug nach Castelamare, 20min mit dem Auto entfernt. Ein wunderschöner Küstenort mit schönen Restaurants und Bars. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und Bedanken uns rechtherzlich bei Domenico, Nina & Familie für die tolle Zeit.

Appartement mit Wohlfühlatmosphäre
Domenico und Nina haben das Appartement mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Sinn für Ästhetik eingerichtet. Genauso schön und freundlich war der Empfang: Ein reich gefüllter Kühlschrank und ein liebevoll vorbereitetes Büffet mit selbstgemachten einheimischen Leckereien. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Super Nina und Domenico :) Die beiden sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Der Garten und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Es gibt so viele Plätze wo man es sich gemütlich machen kann. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig oberhalb der Stadt mit schönem Ausblick von der Terrasse. Wir haben jeden Tag von Domenico per Whatsapp Ideen für Unternehmungen erhalten. Wer Natur und Kultur liebt, findet im Umkreis von einer Autostunde eine Riesenauswahl an Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Vielen Dank an Domenico und Nina für den erholsamen schönen Aufenthalt.

Merveilleux séjour
Nous avons passé 6 nuits sur les hauteurs d'Alcamo, accompagnés de nos 2 filles adolescentes. La location est magnifique, située au rez-de-jardin de la maison. On y est complètement indépendant, avec une entrée spécifique au niveau de la magnifique piscine et de sa terrasse (vue imprenable sur la ville et la côte). Les aménagements extérieurs permettent de toujours trouver l'endroit idéal en fonction de l'heure. Il y a une douche extérieure (avec eau chaude) bien pratique au retour de la plage (nous n'avons pas testé Alcamo Marina mais nous sommes allés plusieurs fois à Scopello et dans la réserve du Zingaro). L'intérieur est à l'avenant, aménagé avec raffinement. La kitchenette est dissimulée dans un meuble en merisier ! L'équipement en petit électroménager est absolument complet. L'ameublement est très raffiné (canapé en Alcantara, méridienne, piano à queue). Les chambres sont très belles, avec des lits confortables et il est bien pratique d'avoir 2 salles de bain. Mais malgré tout cela, ce qu'il y a d'exceptionnel dans cette location, c'est la présence des propriétaires, leurs petites attentions constantes mais jamais pesantes. Les conseils quotidiens de Domenico qui en profite pour pratiquer son français avec plaisir ! La cuisine de Nina : son dîner surprise à l'arrivée, le petit déjeuner du lendemain matin, la corbeille de fruits. On est très au-delà de ce qu'on peut attendre d'hôtes. Toute cette gentillesse fait qu'on est un peu triste de les quitter... Merci encore pour ce beau séjour.

Sizilianische Gastfreundschaft
Wir waren für 10 Tage Gast in der Villa Casa Bonifato. Domenico und Nina waren herzliche Gastgeber und das Frühstück , mit dem sie uns jeden Tag verwöhnten, war einfach nur köstlich. Einziger Wermutstropfen :die von uns gebuchte „Casa“ entpuppte sich als recht dunkle Souterain-Ferienwohnung. Durch das recht kühle Aprilwetter mußten wir uns häufig drinnen aufhalten und konnten den großzügig angelegten Außenbereich kaum nutzen. Im Übrigen ist die Wohnung sehr geräumig, sauber, wunderschön eingerichtet und dekoriert und es fehlt an nichts.

Schöne Tage in traumhafter Umgebung bei wunderbaren Gastgebern
Wir waren eine Woche zu Gast bei Domenico und Nina, sie haben uns mit Willkommenssnack incl. Prosecco und jeden Tag mit sehr guten sizillianischen Spezialitäten zum Frühstück verwöhnt. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und alles ist sauber. Privatsphäre wird groß geschrieben, weshalb es keinen täglichen Zimmersevice für die Schlafzimmer gibt. Domenico und Nina waren sehr hilfsbereit, auch als unsere Enkelin krank war. Domenico hatte sofort einen Termin beim Kinderarzt vereinbart und uns dorthin begleitet, wofür wir sehr dankbar waren. Die Außenanlage des Hauses mit Pool, Terrasse und Garten sind gepflegt und machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Es gibt viele schöne Ecken um gemütlich zu sitzen. Abends war der Garten von Blütenduft erfüllt. Die Aussicht auf den Golf von Castellamare von der Pool Terrasse ist spektakulär! Danke Domenico und Nina

Très belle villa et très gentils propriétaires
Villa bien située, très calme. Avec beaucoup de charme et de confort. Des petits déjeuners "royaux". Tous les matins nous avons été gâtés par des spécialités de Sicile préparés avec amour par Nina et servit impeccablement et grande gentillesse par Domenico. Con todos los adjetivos que pueda poner me quedaría corta. La casa es preciosa , cómoda y acogedora . Con una clase increíble . La piscina estupendisima , las vistas maravillosas y qué decir de nuestros anfitriones convertidos en grandes amigos. Son un ejemplo de hospitalidad y del buen hacer . Quest' anno grazie ad homelidays abbiamo scoperto un modo nuovo di fare vacanze e per questo trascorso fine settimana abbiamo scoperto una struttura che si chiama Casa Bonifato. Ma chiamarla Casa Bonifato è sminuirne molto il suo valore. Proporrei di cambiarne il nome in Villa Bonifato! Abbiamo trascorso un weekend da favola: sicuramente un' esperienza da rifare e da consigliare a tutti i nostri amici ed anche a tutti quelli che leggeranno questa recensione. La struttura è bellissima " adagiata sulle pendici del Monte Bonifato" (come recita lo slogan che accompagna le foto sul sito). Pulita e tenuta in ottime condizioni, strutturata su tre livelli, curata fin nei più piccoli particolari, con una piscina personalizzata che ci ha permesso di rilassarci e di trascorrere due giorni indimenticabili. L'' interno della casa è pieno della personalità dei proprietari: ogni oggetto, ogni angolo parla di loro. Dovunque volgi lo sguardo trovi un pezzettino del loro affetto, del loro calore. Ma anche il giardino è pieno di spazi dove ci si può comodamente sdraiare a leggere o fare un pisolino. La posizione è particolarmente felice e permette di raggiungere facilmente tutte le località nelle vicinanze: Segesta, Selinunte, Trapani, Marsala, Mazara del Vallo, Palermo. Panorama mozzafiato: dal solarium una vista sull' intero golfo di Castellammare del Golfo che non smetteresti mai di guardare. Una cartolina! Una villa che ci ha fatto sentire per due giorni dei principi! E che dire dei proprietari? Due persone eccezionali: Nina e Domenico (e non dimentichiamo il piccolo Ale) con un grande cuore, un animo sensibile, ospitali, attenti e pronti a prevenire ogni nostro desiderio. Ci hanno accolto come se fossimo vecchi amici. Già ci mancano!
