I met a friend for a pre Christmas treat, the staff helped me to surprise my friend and not give the game away that i had paid foe the stay, they helped me keep the cover story that i had used a free stay from hotels.com Have stayed at the cairn many times it is a great location and staff are always amazing. "Long time since I had been to this Hotel and my memories were that about 15 years ago it was a tired looking place. I was aware that there had been a refurb and was pleasantly surprised with the look of the hotel, our room was lovely and the King size bed was fantasticly comfortable. My wife loved the Spa and used it everyday. The location is excellent for exploring Harrogate the only downside was the £15 a day parking fee which for a paying guest is a bit much. The snowfall over the weekend was lovely as well."
