Gabriele is a rare gem ! Location is everything and using Gilbert Ferret or via Cavour you reach the harbour two ways or all the restaurants and along the bastioni, we were prepared for the steep stairs going up to the property from previous reviews, the roof top view is worth it !! Breakfast is more than enough made by the lovely Cristina it will keep you energised for day be it cold meat , boiled egg or a Cornetto pastry with delicious fruit and yogurt. The wonderful thing is the problem solving, Gabriele will tell the best things to do and resolves any issues immediately. Host is a real class act even he remembered my wife’s birthday and brought her a little gift or when we were leaving and couldn’t make breakfast he packed something for us and kids to take to the airport. I also liked that even though the town had a one day water shortage issue he had arranged a reserve supply so we could have nice showers after being at the beach. I would say the place has all the basics you need if you are out and about most days. It was a pleasure to stay there and they make you feel like part of the family! Grazie Mille ! Top tip: Make use of the local bus from Mercato outside Swarovski to Spaggio di Maria Pia beach, B&B provides beach umbrella and straw mats and get your little bits for lunch and waters from EuroSpin near Giardini Giuseppe Manno park !

Hyggeligt lille B&B i hjertet af Old Town Alghero, med fantastisk service fra ejeren. Stedet har den fineste tagterrasse hvor morgenmaden serveres. Der er mange trapper på stedet så det er ikke for personer der er dårligt gående. Vil altid booke et ophold på Alguer Guest House hvis vi kommer tilbage igen.

Härligt guesthouse

Vi hade en fantastisk vecka! Detta B&B/guesthouse ligger på ett perfekt läge nära havet och mysiga gränder med massor av restauranger. Vi hade allt vi behövde! Gabriele är otroligt välkomnande och gjorde vår vecka så bra. Han tipsade om härliga platser, hjälpte oss med taxi- och bussförbindelser och bjöd alltid på en fin pratstund. Gabriele är en engagerad och omtänksam värd och var snabb med att skapa lösningar. Vi reste väldigt tidigt en morgon och då ordnade han t.ex. med en frukostpåse vi kunde ta med oss. Vi kommer tillbaka!

Very easy check-in process and the room was modern and clean. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast. Owner was very helpful and responsive. Great option if staying Alghero and you want to be near all the shops and restaurants.

Climb many steps to reach this lovely room in town

Great property and host, really caring guy! Due to travel in Covid-19 time, breakfast was self-service but items were stocked in the fridge inside the room. The rooftop terrace is shared with 3 rooms and offers nice seaview and sunset. Walking distance from airport bus is 10 minutes. The room was nicely decorated and clean. However some small ants came at night (in bed, on the sheets). For me, no problem but just be aware. The street in front was a bit loud at night till about 1.00am due to a bar-restaurant where people talk on the terrace/street. Remind yourself to reach the rooms by quite a long stairs up to 2nd/3rd floor. There is no elevator. No recommend this for elderly or very young children. Heavy suitcases might be difficult to bring up to the room.

Posizione davvero strategica: dentro la zona a traffico limitato del centro ma comodamente raggiungibile a piedi (3minuti) da piazza Sulis dove è possibile parcheggiare l’auto; a meno di 100 metri la meravigliosa passeggiata a picco sul mare sui bastioni di Marco Polo dove abbiamo goduto di un tramonto mozzafiato; colazione abbondante sulla terrazza del B&B con vista mare. La camera era molto comoda con bagno privato dotato di doccia. Inoltre Gabriele, il proprietario, si è dimostrato persona gentilissima e disponibile. Che dire? Esperienza da ripetere!

This is a B&B - and the service is top-notch for such a place. I wish we had more time to enjoy the sunset on the fabulous roof terrace.
