Stay
Bathrooms and beds are well kept and clean. Everything else was quite dirty. Cobwebs everywhere, dishes in cabinets were dirty and did not appear to be cleaned before put away. Grill was not one in photo and only a single burner worked. Great view, quiet location and game room was a good bonus to the property.

Anniversary Trip
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was a great home. Very comfortable, clean, great atmosphere, wonderful sunrise. We enjoyed sightseeing, win tasting at Von Stiehl Winery and went to Off The Hook bar and grill and met a lot of nice people. Could definitely see us retiring in this area

Superb, Amazing, What A View, Betond our Expectations
Communication with the Owner, Property Manager and the Evolve representative were all compassionate, quick to resolve issues and beyond wonderful. The views of the lake were breathtaking, the home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and with great amenities. Slept like a baby and felt right at home. The pool table and jukebox were so much fun! Highly recommend!

The place has a very nice backyard, but lacks on cleaning.
The place has a nice backyard along lake Michigan. But the road noise is quite loud. The cleaning needs a lot of improvement!!!

A lovely home
This large home on Lake Michigan was perfect for our family getaway. Comfy and tidy, it had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The large kitchen and dining areas were busy all the time as we prepared meals and ate together. The deck and separate screened porch allowed us to be outside in all types of weather. The beds were comfy and the rural area provided lots of quiet. We even saw a few "critters" like bunnies and a cute woodchuck as we enjoyed the lake views. A great value for us!

A lovely home
Our whole family enjoyed this large vacation home. It was a short drive, but far enough to feel like a real getaway...and it's far from the hustle and bustle. There are direct views of Lake Michigan, a yard for playing, and even some wildlife to watch. The beds were very comfy and the large kitchen and dining area allowed us to share wonderful family meals. The game room with pool table and jukebox was a hit with all ages. The large deck plus a great screened-in porch allowed us to be "outside" regardless of the weather. All in all, this was a great value!

Girls Trip
Overall our stay was great. There were a few things that were slightly off putting. We found a pedicure sandal under the chair in the living room, chips next to the bed in the downstairs bedroom, a large hairball on the floor in the main bedroom upstairs....just minor things that you would expect the cleaning fee to cover. The lawn was pretty long and the apple tree over the path to the beach was overgrown. Aside from that it was a great stay and we would recommend it to others. The location was perfectly set between Algoma and Kewaunee so we were able to go both places and not lose a lot of time. The view was incredible.

Read listing completely, still very nice home.
First we visited during Wisconsin’s heat wave. We must accept some responsibility, assumed home had AC. Owner was nice enough to bring in a portable AC used in one bedroom. Location is beautiful. Don’t let that stop you from staying at this home. During normal WI weather i am sure home would be cool with wonderful Lake Michigan breezes. Beds very comfortable. Due to high water level and erosion lake access is possible but a little tricky. You can get to the water. Had a great time with family.

Algoma retreT
Beautiful spacious home, loved the sizes of all the rooms, beds and linens were all very comfortable, fresh and clean, kitchen well stocked with necessary appliances, loved the views of the lake, big yard, numerous games and pool table. Even tho the distance to the lake was short, the walk down to it was difficult for some: the railing was unsafe, apple tree branches hanging low blocked part of the pathway, and the boulders near the bottom were difficult to climb down. Yard work needed tending: many tall weeds in gardens which took away from the beauty of the gardens. Despite the negatives just mentioned we admired the beauty of this older home which has been completely remodeled yet still maintaining some of the old structure! We enjoyed our stay there!!

Too noisy for a vacation
Property was clean rooms and bathrooms were nice and large with no AC. We did not know that this was 30 feet from a major highway with lots of trucks, buses cars, tractor trailers. and so forth. The noise generated from all this traffic was so annoying. The steps to the beach were very crude and hazardous. The other negative feature was the well water which smelled of sulfur and tasted bad so we had to import our own water in jugs. We would’ve never stayed at this place if we had known that it was 30 feet from a major highway.

Misleading advertisement at best... NO access to beach area-a huge dropoff dangerous for little kids
To our shock we arrived to a place with about a 9 foot drop off to the "beach" there is no access as advertised to the private beach.. Had a huge tree not fallen we would not have been able to get to the water at all!! It is very dangerous for little kids. We rented this home with the understanding this was a family friendly place and was very disappointed upon arrival.. The house is super cute, NO air so it gets very hot!!!! The owner was very nice.. Beautiful view, beautiful yard, beautiful area...

Charming Lakefront Oasis
My husband and I had a fantastic 4-day, 3-night stay at this charming lakefront retreat in Algoma during the off-season. The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental home exceeded my expectations in many ways. The location is ideal for those who enjoy fishing, with access to one of the state's largest charter fishing fleets. It's a perfect angler's retreat. The property boasts spacious land and even features a game room stocked with board games, ensuring there's no shortage of fun activities. The house itself is a true gem, with 2,700 sq ft of space, offering plenty of room for relaxation and entertainment. The lake views from the living area were stunning, and the fireplace added a cozy touch. The game room was a hit, complete with a pool table, dart board, jukebox, and more. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, and cooking basics. Plus, the outdoor amenities, such as the gas grill, deck, and fire pit, made our evenings unforgettable. The convenience of having free WiFi and in-unit laundry machines was a big plus. The provided linens and towels, as well as complimentary toiletries, added a thoughtful touch to our stay. All in all, our stay at this property was exceptional, and we look forward to booking again!

Disappointed
We were disappointed in our stay. The property seemed to have been cleaned awhile ago but was dirty outside, the outdoor trash cans were overflowing when we arrived and for the duration of our stay. The downstairs windowsills had a lot of dead insects that could (and should have) been vacuumed prior to our arrival. We have pictures as it was very gross. Probably didn’t help as two of the windows by the larger bed were left cracked open. There were spiders in the corners of most walls and we woke to a centipede in the sink one am. Disappointed for a premier rated host. We left a day early. Poor ratings from us due to the interior Insect problem.

Perfect
This is a beautiful property…comfortable, clean, well-appointed. It was perfect for our family of four adults and two children. The youngest loved the tub upstairs. The 12-year-old liked riding his bike down to the wayside park. Gramma and Grampa couldn’t make it down to the water’s edge, but Mom and Dad did. Bay Charter’s Captain Riley made fishing trip a success. Mom caught the biggest fish-23 lbs. The only good restaurant we tried in Algoma was the Dairy Bar. Sonny’s in Sturgeon Bay was worth an extra trip for some of the best pizza we’ve ever had (and pasta portions were enormous). Gramma enjoyed using the app, “Plant Finder” to ID all the beautiful flora on-site. Grampa enjoyed kicking back in the comfey recliners. Son-in-law was blown away by the beautiful property. We all wished we could stay longer. I do wish there was a history of the house available. The old part of the house was a mystery for us. Lastly, we must thank Paige for bringing a coffee maker for us. We feel all those little plastic Keurig cups are wasteful.

Heat Didn't Work - No Help
When we arrived at the property at about 8pm at night. Very cold night, small children, no heat. We fiddled for a while trying to make it work and finally contacted the owner about 9pm. The repair man did not come until 11:30, and provided no assistance. Heat simply didn't work. Stayed all weekend without heat, continuing to text with repair man and owner, (no one would answer phone). Contacted VRBO, management company, owner, all told me too bad. This has soured my taste for VRBO permanently. I spent hours after this vacation trying to resolve the issue to no avail. All parties refuse to take responsibility for the fact that there was no heat... in Wisconsin... in November. Come on guys!

Large home, spacious rooms, great location on the lake
Functional home, big bedrooms and plenty of other living spaces for our guests. Great location on the lake and close to town. Loved the cute little town of Algoma and visiting the little shops, “smashed on the rocks” and the winery. Went for a Salmon fishing trip and it was a good location between Algoma boat launch and Kewaunee boat launch. Cute home! We enjoyed our trip.

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan
I had rented this home, for my daughter's wedding which was at the Grain Loft 1.5 miles up the road from this home. It gave us the room for each of us to relax and enjoy our stay. We had no issues once we figured out the keyless entry. Just a note of how a person is not use to using a keyless entry. I also enjoyed the early morning up before the sun and watch the sunrise each morning. Well worth the money for anyone who is looking for a weekend get away or an up coming wedding at the Grain Loft or even the football game at Lambo.

Fab Four Fall Fun
Four high school girlfriends spent a wonderful weekend at your property in Algoma, with the beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The fall colors were stunning and Algoma has much to offer. Special shout outs to Hello Dolly, Country Cupboard, Amber's Attic, the friendly server at Fishtale Ale House, and the Friday night fish fry at Red's Pub & Grill. Thanks from the Fab 4
