"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"A surprisingly pleasant stay despite initial impressions outside and the general location. The rooms, there were 4 of us, were very spacious and had everything we needed. A nice breakfast was included. The only real negative was we didn't know there was no restaurant service Fri to Sun....we arrived Fri for 2 nights. Staff helpful."

"Excellent place for families, a rural house where you can experience the life of a small town in northern Spain. The house is well equipped, with comfortable bathroom and bedrooms. The town has an ATM, some small restaurants and a small supermarket. Situated in the middle of mountains and amazing parks. Very safe roads and very friendly local people"

"Estuve un par de días en Febrero 2024 con mis hijos de 4 y 7 años y mi marido. La casa nos encantó. El entorno es inmejorable : Naturaleza, cerca del rio… en un pueblo con algún bar (a 5 min del alojamiento ), tienda de ultramarinos y panadería- quesería pegando a la casa. La cocina con menaje super completo( tostador, batidora, cafetera nespreso) y con electrodomésticos funcionales (microondas,horno y lavavajillas). "A lovely apartment in a valley local to Potes. All the facilities were great and we liked the exceptionally large bedrooms. Everything worked as it should. We had a great week exploring the local area and especially the mountains further down the valley."
