"Two of us stayed one night, staff were friendly and rooms comfortable. Quite rural location with ample parking, they even locked our motorbikes in a garage for the night. Breakfast was very basic but adequate. Didn’t have dinner but looked like a busy popular restaurant. Made an excellent stopover."

We had beautiful views of the grounds from the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’d slept on. Such an amazing way to start our first trip to the south of France. "This is a unique property - very rural and peaceful, but within striking distance of Toulouse. The couple and their young daughter acquired the house and estate in 2018 to develop it as a vineyard, and a year later they opened four guest rooms. "This is a rural restored farm house. We used it as a base for a day trip (3.5 hrs) to Andorra while being able to make it back to Paris in a day. Visited some nearby wineries as well! Breakfast was good. Room and bath clean with nice hot shower. Only issue was lack of ventilation in room. No ac so had to open windows ( without screens) until attacked by mosquitos!"

"We'd definitely recommend The Squirrel's Nest. A lovely house and owners. Our room was great, spacious en suite bathroom, air conditioning which with temperatures of 40 degrees outside (canicule), was really appreciated, tea and coffee making facilities on the landing. An easy walk into Gaillac for dinner (bring a torch) and not far from routes to Albi and Toulouse. Breakfast outside in the shade of trees and the company of other guests and our hosts was delightful. Croissants, bread, homemade...
