"Amazing place to stay if you plan to do a Safari in Wilpattu. The tent is very beautiful, the staff is super atentious and you can feel very close to nature. Calm and relaxing stay! I totally recomend it!"

"This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. "

"It started with a bad surprise, for which I would blame Hotels.com as they showed pictures of the Mahoora tents, but booked us in the Big Game tent… a lower standard. Once that issue was cleared, we truely enjoyed our stay… the Mahoora tent is amazing, in a stunning environment. Service is great, candle dinner is amazing… and the safari organization was perfect."

"Amazing stay at Mahoora Tented Safari Camp Wilpattu The staff was so lovely, very enthusiastic about the experience and very professional. Our dinner was amazing, eating by candlelight, on linen tablecloths, under the stars with fire-flies blinking in the forest around us. "The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially."

"This is an unique place to be! Such lovely people, you feel overwhelmed with kindness and hospitallity! And a chance to go to Willpathu N.P. We were there for 2 nights and will never forget our stay with these lovely people! And they make you tradditional food and snacks... An unique experience!"

"Part of this hotel is under renovation. Improvements are being made but the service is excellent as provided by Dilan, the owner. This hotel has a huge lake right behind it and it is sanctuary to wild life. Very quiet and peaceful. I strongly recommend it."
