"The town of Murat was better than expected. Small cobblestones streets, old, charming houses. Many shops, cafes, restaurants. The nature around town is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers. Murat is also on the Circuit des Monts du Cantal The apartment was big enough for 4 people. Appliances are not recent but functional Overall clean but a coat of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt."

"We had a warm and friendly welcome, helped by our ability to speak French (Paul and Genevieve admit that they have very little English!). Be prepared with provisions and fuel when you arrive as the nearest shops are some distance away and likely to be closed at inconvenient times (for the English at least!). "A comfortable and well-equipped rental. It had everything imaginable in terms of kitchenware, recreational materials (games, cards), tourist brochures, cleaning materials, and bathroom supplies. The tourist information was solely in French as well as all instructions for the use of appliances. "This was a really comfortable cottage for our large family. It had everything we needed and the surrounding area is beautiful. There is plenty to do and see in the vicinity. We would recommend Super Besse for outdoor activities and for climbing Puy de Sancy - the highest peak in the Massif Central. M.
