"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."

"Property was well equipped. Great location for our newyear celebrations. Everything you needed was supplied. Only thing we think should been told was we shared the bin area with other cottages. "The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"The staff at the hotel were super friendly and very pro dogs. Breakfast was very nice and good location for getting to the beach and five min walk from Seahouses centre. I had one of the windowless rooms, which wasn't a problem in the deep winter, wouldn't have liked it in summer. Nice little touches of biscuits for me and my dog on arriving. Only niggles they seemed a bit short staffed as one staff member seemed really busy. Plus they said there would be a fridge in my room, for dog food. But...
