"It was a pleasant stay after visiting Alnwick Gardens. The room was about average size but walk up on third floor. The room was clean and as usual air conditioning was provided by opening the window. Parking is available but not for the faint of heart if you are not used to driving in the UK. Would consider staying there again if we are ever in the area."

"We’ve just returned from 3 nights at East Lodge. What can I say other than wow! It’s a great little house, quirky and unique, in a really beautiful and remote setting. There’s no light or noise pollution, just peace and quiet, plus the fantastic backdrop of Chillingham Castle at the end of the garden. "Atmospheric rooms, bathroom spotless and coffee machine a nice bonus. Good variety of options for breakfast- I really enjoyed the Craster kippers! Had dinner downstairs which i would recommend, good selection of beers."

"Stayed one night for an event in the area. The property is a little tired, the walls are thin so you can hear people in other rooms. There is ample parking and the location is great for accessing Alnwick."

"We enjoyed our recent stay here. The room was excellent with a spotless new bathroom and comfortable bed. Better pillows would have been nice but not a problem for a short stay. The food was very good but the service rather slow. We weren't in any hurry but 30-40 minutes to produce breakfast after ordering seemed a bit excessive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful so positive overall."
