"Great staff all round at check in and checkout and breakfast was very good. A bit disappointed with the shower head, which came off during a shower and could have hurt someone. However the response was prompt and it was fixed with a sincere apology. I love staying here and will def stay here again. "

"Lovely, clean comfortable apartment. Staff are welcoming. We prefer staying in an apartment to a hotel now and cheaper than the central Manchester hotels. Stayed for 2 nights, was visiting Manchester for a gig at Coop live and experience the Christmas Market. Location is good very close to Piccadilly gardens, easy access to shops and restaurants. Large NCP car park round the corner. Would recommend staying at Cove. We definitely will book again when we next plan to stay over. "

"5 minute walk to the town centre which was really great! Clean inside, lovely place. Only downside was in the description it didn’t say there was 3 levels in the apartment, having 3 young kids it wasn’t kid friendly but problem solved because there was a sofa bed and 2 extra pullout beds upstairs so my younger children could stay on the top floor with me and my partner. Great price I paid was very impressed! "

"Rather disappointing. Lots of space in this apartment style hotel but fittings were basic and everything rather 'tired'. Online check-in a real trial and rather pointless. Not much in the immediate area although only a 10 minute walk to Salford quays. Take care with security. My motorcycle was stolen 5 minutes after I arrived while checking in. Owners very unhelpful re. CCTV.... I know the theft wasn't the hotel's fault - just advising care in the surrounding area."

"I had a great stay at Charles Hope townhouse. This is a great location with the train available to travel to Old Trafford for a football game or making our way to the central retail district. Overall the property was clean, however had a few minor defects: - towel with holes and stain on them - mild stains on the bedsheet - stain on the carpet near the bed - washer detergent feeder has a lot of residue from previous stay. - dish washer has residue from previous stay - it had a funky smell when...

"I did not get a stay, this apartment is a SCAM. Had this booked, received an email from the property owner the day before claiming the property was no longer available due to a leak and that I would receive a refund. I did not receive any refund and have been ignored ever since, I have messaged multiple times and tried calling, I have tried to get help from hotel.com and they have not helped at all either. AVOID at all costs."

However,i have really noticed massive upgrades in the way the hotel has been managed in my last two stays, and improvements in the general standards of decor etc - though it remains affordale and good value for money.
