Poppy’s Place, a beautiful family & pet friendly1920’s bungalow.

Poppy’s Place is named after our Bordercollie who loves this bungalow. This 1920’s bungalow has been recently renovated to meet the demands of families wanting to travel to the Barossa with their pets. Recent renovations have been completed to accommodate full access bathroom for people requiring additional elements for access. Shortly ramps and an additional drive way access will be installed to complete our dream of accommodating to all needs of our visitors to the Barossa. This has been a dream of mine and my husbands to have a beautiful home for all our guests to enjoy for more than 20 years.

Poppy’s Place has been designed for our guests and their pers to relax and make the most of the Barossa. If you enjoy being surrounded by art, easy access to the Main Street, adventure playgrounds, accessible cycle and walking pathways, Poppy’s Place will excite your senses plus each room has a selection of artworks from local artists.

Poppy’s Place is easy to walk to everything Angaston has to offer, and a short drive or bike ride to many Barossa favourite places such as fantastic restaurants, cafes, wine bars, pubs, playgrounds, shops and wineries. Or you can just sit on the front verandah or in the lush back garden and enjoy the picturesque surrounds. This bungalow has so much to offer, creating the perfect escape to the Barossa Valley.

With three large comfortable bedrooms, lounge with a sofa bed and a bay window which is the perfect spot to read a good book. A seperate office space which is private and has access to the verandah. The front verandah of the bungalow is where you can unwind and it overlooks the old trees of Angaston and the lush front lawn. Cleaning equipment if needed is kept in the laundry too, plus a Dyson hand vacuum cleaner is located in the back hallway

In the back garden is a large outdoor undercover entertaining area with three wine barrels, a BBQ, cooking preparation space, chopping block and a large table with10 comfortable deck chairs. Great home away from home to stay in the Barossa
The home is walking distance to all Angaston amenities and a short drive to some great attractions. Street parking only outside property boundary, we know the area is quiet so no issue once we unpacked the vehicle. The home is super quiet and had a secure yard for our 2 mini schnauzers Henry and Ella.To stretch out and morning walks along the Angaston- Nurioopta dual pathway. Hosts were super organised and we did not want for anything. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Barossa home
We had a lovely 2 night stay here with our 2 dogs. The home is a beautifully renovated cottage on a quiet street. Bathrooms are beautiful. The bedrooms/living room are very spacious. Backyard is fully enclosed. Breakfast provisions were great including cereals, eggs, bacon, bread, jams & Nespresso machine with lots of pods. Nice bottle of red wine too. 2 min walk to supermarket. Unfortunately the weather was very rainy & freezing but we still managed to make the most of it. We enjoyed the tranquility of the location & would definitely stay again. Only very minor negative is the portable heaters don’t heat the house that well in winter but appreciated the extra blankets. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Superb Roost in Angaston
Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, incredibly well-equipped home in lovely Angaston was the venue for a get-together of old friends. The host's thoughtful treats, including for the dog, and numerous little luxuries were unexpected pleasures. Quiet, cosy with everything you could possibly want-- far exceeded expectation.

Nice but odd and pricey
Nice place, clean & tidy. Host has thought of pretty much everything. Shower in ensuite is borderline dangerous as there are no screens, so the ground stays wet on the way to the toilet at night. The extra charges made per person per night is thievery .. who charges these exorbitant amounts! If all 9 people stay here that’s more than anyone should have to pay per night - crazy! 5 eggs for 3 ppl - bizarre!

Perfect barossa holiday
My husband and I absolutely loved our barossa valley stay at Poppy’s Place, we stayed with our two golden retrievers too. The host Alexandra was lovely, we couldn’t believe how great the breakfast was that was in the fridge on our arrival! The house was gorgeous wooden floors and large rooms and large and cosy living room, lovely place to read a book or watch a movie. We were also lucky to visit over the Christmas period so the house was decorated for Christmas, made it feel extra special. Perfect location for barossa wine visits but Angaston walks and eats only streets away were delightful surprise! We have told everyone to stay here and we will definitely be back!

Poppy's Place and Angaston.
Poppy's place is the most beautifully presented, warm and comfortable home we have stayed in during our various travels. Even our dog enjoyed the large back yard to run and play in. Angaston town centre is a short stroll from the front door with great coffee, food, history and beautiful walks. Angaston made an excellent base for exploring the Barossa and surrounds as far as the Clare Valley. We would definitely recommend Poppy's Place to our friends and family.
