"Stayed here for 14 days. Generous space with lots of room for multiple guests. We didn't realize the villa was two separate units. This was unexpected as we thought there would be a central indoor staircase. We made it work but we did feel separate from each other. "We were both delighted and terrified about staying at this hotel! It was a great hotel in all aspects a traveler wanted. The room was great.The staff was great. The hotel itself was very interesting with some large common rooms which were perfect settings for your camera. The hotel was a couple steps from the main charming square where they shot the movie Under The Tuscan Sun. So it was in a perfect location, right? Not so fast! The perfect location was also on top of a very steep hill, and the road was a very narrow coble-stone road. I guess it was nothing if you were the local. But for a bad American driver like myself, it was terrifying. My tiny underpowered rental car bearly squeezed through the road, and I was lucky not to run over anyone because the road was so steep all I could see was the blue sky above, not the road below. It was some experience! But, we got through the fear and had a wonderful time at this hotel"
