Sure Hotel by Best Western Angouleme

3.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (358)
"The hotel was okay only. The bedding was comfortable and clean. Overall my room was clean however there was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. The hot water in both sink and shower got to only the cool side of warm. The booking included parking however the hotel parking lot cannot accommodate more than a few cars and the streets nearby are very crowded. Front desk staff was very friendly. Would not be my first choice in the area."

"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from...

Mercure Angouleme Hotel de France

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (355)
"Love where the property is situated. We were only in Angouleme for 1 evening but could easily access many restaurants in quaint cobbled streets with live music and a lovely atmosphere. Later the live music at the hotel was very enjoyable and we were able to visit the market across from the hotel early the next morning. We didnt like the pillows, finding them very hard, but overall a really pleasant place to stay in the heart of the atmospheric old town. "
