"This is the most interesting and unique stay my family has had. What atmosphere! We were welcomed with cake and tea and Christa was a wonderful host. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Top destination for a completely authentic old farmhouse experience with lots of charm in a very quiet German village."

"Situated in an apartment block with many local residents. Quiet and with immediate access to walks through the woods and to nearby towns. The kitchen is small and the bedroom very tight but all very serviceable. Host helpful and friendly. Organised passes for us, but not on site. A short drive to a pleasant town below and Triberg a few miles on has a lot to offer."

"Die Lage und die Umgebung sind top. Der Rest leider Flop auf ganz hohem Niveau. Kein Badezimmer, Küche ist 4 m2 gross, alles war dreckig, überall alles voll mit persönlichem Krimskrams und auch alle (!!!) Schränke voll bis obenhin -> keine Verstauungsmöglichkeiten! Kein Kühlschrank, das heisst kein Verstauen von Lebensmitteln möglich. Dazu ist die Wohnung voll mit Ungeziefer, welche sich an unseren Lebensmitteln verköstigt haben. "Un appartement très spacieux, une cuisine très bien équipé avec sur place la possibilité de se préparer un chocolat chaud ou du café, un micro onde, un toasteur, un four une plaque de cuisson... Tout est a disposition ! On s'y sent comme chez nos grands-parents ! Très bien ! Nous y avons très bien dormi. Merci aux hôtes pour l'accueil qu'ils nous ont fait !"

"Honestly, the staff here are some of the most patient, kind, and generous folks you will ever meet. My only gripe is that the WiFi was very poor and caused issues when in virtual meetings. However, the staff were splendid and am happy to have stayed here. "

"Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. Still slept soundly but we could have been a bit more comfortable. By the time we discovered that it wasn't working, it was too late at night and there was no one to fix it. One excellent feature of the hotel was the on-property cigar lounge, although during our 1-night stay it was full of cigarette smokers. I would still highly recommend this hotel as a stopover on the way to somewhere else."
