The Antique Auto Museum is a fascinating warehouse that showcases more than 150 classic vehicles. It is an ideal indoor museum to escape the afternoon heat or occasional rainy day. Venture back through time while studying the unusual and old-fashioned classic cars in these fascinating exhibits.

The museum takes you through each decade in the history of automobiles to give you an insight into the developments and fashions of the time. See the 1895 Chicago Motor Benton Harbor and the 1977 Chrysler Cordoba, among others. The collection includes special cars, such as hearses and trucks.

Make your way through the permanent Cammack Tucker Collection to see the array of vintage Tucker ‘48 cars. Stroll through the Route 66 Exhibit for its displays on the iconic highway and its place in U.S. culture and folklore.

Another main collection is the Museum of Bus Transportation. Inspect the retro buses and let your kids clamber over the interactive model train. Chat with docents and learn about how Henry Ford shaped the car manufacturing business with the assembly line process.

Look through some of the temporary exhibits during your visit. These have included such topics as unrestored garage treasures, the anniversary of the Firebird and the construction of the Hershey Kissmobile that resembles the famous chocolate candy. Car shows and other events and activities take place year-round.

Note that the museum opens daily from morning until late afternoon. There is an admission fee children and seniors are eligible for discounted tickets, while toddlers can enter for free.

The Antique Auto Museum is in the northwestern outskirts of Hershey in southeastern Pennsylvania. Drive from the town center for about 3 miles (5 kilometers) to get here in less than 10 minutes. Leave your car in the parking lot for free. Visit nearby highlights, such as Swatara Creek, Hersheypark Stadium and the Giant Center.
