“Fawlty Towers” minus humour, staff and decor !

‘Fiasco Towers’. We were really disappointed that this ‘grand old lady’ of a building in a beautiful river-front location 850m up a drive from the road should have been so neglected and let down by abysmal lack of service. We normally enjoy the individual charm and character of non-chain hotels but, alas, it was not to be. We stayed 2 nights as pre-booked in a premium room. We were checked-in in a friendly manner but found the room - extremely dated in all respects - had not been properly serviced from previous occupancy. There were no hand towels, no soap or any other amenities, but there were two empty used shampoo sachets left in the shower. We reported this as we left to visit friends. On return five hours later, clean towels, shampoo sachets and postage stamp sized soap tablets were present - as were the same beetle and the cobwebs. In the morning a buffet breakfast had been laid out for the few overnight guests. There were cereals available but no bowls or spoons, and after making a request in the kitchen three non-matching bowls were forthcoming. We made do with coffee spoons ! There was cheese, ham, bread and croissants, butter, jams and honey. We left the room at 11:45 to see friends and returned to the hotel at 22:00 to discover the room had not been serviced at all despite the ‘YES Please make up the room notice still on door handle. Breakfast again saw no cereal bowls and no coffee until one guest raided the kitchen to find some ! Won’t be back.

Sale et délabré. Déception.

Cadre magnifique mais hôtel laissé à l’abandon. De l’extérieur l’hôtel semble en bon état mais une fois à l’intérieur grosse déception. Le sol est recouvert de moquette qui date d’une autre époque et qui est sale. Les tâches sont couvertes de simples tapis. Dans la chambres, nous avons trouvé des toiles d’araignées et des araignées. Stores cassé et impossible à fermer. Salle de bain extrêmement sale, nous avons retrouvé 2 savons solides usagés dans le bac de la douche. Bac de douche couvert de calcaire Et moisissures. Toilettes bouchées. Lit dur et inconfortable. Rarement vu une chambre d’hôtel aussi sale et délabrée. On la croirait laissée à l’abandon.

Ne pas y aller... À éviter..

Hôtel très beau de l extérieur mais vieillot à l intérieur... Toiles d araignées, punaises... Pas de chauffage, pas d eau chaude hé oui plus de fuel... Pour couronner le tout, on se fait accueillir par un jars, violent et méchant.. Qui cherche à vous pincer et qui tape votre voiture avec son bec... Et le directeur ça ne le dérange absolument pas... Cette sale bestiole est bien plus importante que sa clientèle... Heureusement que la jeune fille à l accueil est très sympa et le repas cher mais bon!!! À éviter absolument....

Hôtel agréable mais manque de confort.

Établissement et environnement agréables. Manque de confort dans la chambre car tout est bas, lit lavabo et toilettes. Et la pomme de douche du haut est tombée quand on a mis l'eau.

Romantisches Hotel - wie im Bilderbuch

Bei der Ankunft kam Georgette, die Hotelgans, neugierig um die Ecke gewatschelt, die 2 Kinderbetten waren schon aufgestellt... nette Atmosphäre und zuvorkommendes Personal. Frühstück ist sehr französisch ; -) viel Weißbrot und Zucker, aber auch Obst, Joghurt und regionale Säfte.

Der Portier konnte nur ganz wenig Englisch sonst nur Französisch. Die Zimmer stinken .. und sind nicht sauber. Ausser wir war nur das personal da. Wir willten eine Nacht bleiben sind aber drotzdem weiter gefahren.

Cet établissement a tout pour être charmant mais a besoin d’un peu de rafraîchissement. Il est situé au bord d’une rivière, sa terrasse été parsemée de saules et d’arbres prodiguant une ombre bienvenue, son environnement est très champêtre. Mais aussi bien les espaces communs que les chambres ont besoin d’être rafraîchis. Le restaurant a lui aussi besoin de monter en gamme eu égard à ses prétentions et ses tarifs. Le tarif des chambres reste néanmoins attractif.

Très bon accueil. Propre mais un peu vieillot. Il faudrait changer les moquettes au sol. Sinon très bien. Ras pour le petit déjeuner. Confiture maison excellente et je le redis le personnel est vraiment sympathique
