I like the no-frills approach of Citybox and the clever design of the rooms and bathrooms. The hotel is very handy for the main train station and city bus and tram links. Have stayed at the hotel before and will do so again if visiting Antwerp.

Easy 5/10 mins walk to station handy for shops & central sites. Lovely shower, great bed for the night. Little kitchen with microwave & fridge. Self service reception and staff are around to help.

The shower water is weak. Sink is clogged. Wifi is not stable but connect alright. It is a self service hotel so people come here need to set expectations right. Since it is the self service hotel the price should be less expensive.

Citybox served a great centre point for our long weekend in Antwerp. Check in was easy and the room was spacious with modern decor. It was within walking distance to all we wanted to see. Our only slight qualm was the bed could have been comfier. Would recommend however.

I did not like the fact that I could not get regular TV channels. I asked the person at the desk how to work the remote and she was extremely rude, and when I said she was not being helpful she said "whatever". Also, the drain in the sink was plugged and when I filled it up a couple of dead flies came out and there was what looked like a cockroach in the shower. Had she been more helpful, or even polite, and had basic maintenance been better, I would have been a lot more complimentary as the hotel generally seemed nice and the location was very good.

Very impressive! Spacious room and bathroom. Very good location with helpful staff. There is a kitchen, luggage storage, and a laundry room. Could not ask for better, would stay here again next time in Antwerp.

We only had 24h in Antwerp so this place was perfect. Not even 10 mins from the Central Station, and then around 15 mins walk to the main market square. Very, very reasonably priced and we would recommend to anyone when in the city.

This hotel is designed for the university age-group. All check-in and check-out is at an electronic terminal and mine didn't work. The (1) staff member eventually appeared and took me to another machine and put an 'out of order' sign on the first one. There is a nice new large flat screen TV....., that has no TV - only streaming services that you pay for, or the ability to stream from your device. I just watched news on my computer. Free-to-air TV only needs an aerial and would be less costly than the high level data needed for the streaming, so I don't buy this as an economic measure. Rooms are not serviced daily - only on checkout or mid-stay during longer stays. I was there for a week. I asked midweek what that really meant, and they said my room was to be serviced that day...., but they came at 4:30 in the afternoon, when I really need my space in the room to get ready for something. I asked the next day, if they could come in the middle of day when I was out. When I returned, it looked like nothing had changed. The bed wasn't made, for example. Later, I realised, they'd swapped the towels and emptied the bin - that's it - that's servicing. There's nothing in the room. Everything is by vending machine, so if you want a simple tea or coffee, you'll be going downstairs and paying. Otherwise, it was a neat, clean, well-located place. They claim those things are about keeping prices low....., but a quick search shows these omisions to be poor value in Antwerp.
